Manufacturing Day 2018

manufacturing day 2018Happy Manufacturing Day 2018! Celebrated this year on October 5th, 2018, manufacturers everywhere are recognized for their achievements to streamline and challenge the modern world. With the rise of Industry 4.0 (or the Fourth Industrial Revolution) manufacturers are continuing to bring new products and ideas to life to help improve communicative capabilities and integrated data.

With innovative technology like 3D CAD software, 3D printers, and 3D scanners, companies are able to bring their designs and ideas to whole new level revolutionizing the way they design. And while Manufacturing Day celebrates modern manufacturing used by those in an array of different industries, a large part of this day is to inspire the next generation of manufacturers as well. Events like MakerFaire where kids of all age are able to engage with new technology as well as continued support for FIRST Robotics where young adults are able to use their skills to build and design are essential to young minds.

Inspiring the Future Generation

In order to support and enlighten the minds of our future generation, Fisher Unitech is excited to be a part of an event on October 9th programmed by our friends at Pathway X Events called Make It: Manufacturing! During this event, we are opening our doors to hundreds of 8th grade middle school students so they can see 3D software and 3D printers in action as well as engage with the technology hands on.

Design to Manufacturing Events

You can experience the latest in 3D CAD software and additive manufacturing at one of our 14 Design to Manufacturing events. During these events, you’ll see product demonstrations and use case examples of the new capabilities in SOLIDWORKS 2019 that take a design to a finished product faster than ever before.
